On the mace, the three-pronged halberd is engraved on the front and back sides and is an element within the 88th Regional Support Command's DUI. Above the halberds are three campaign streamers, symbolizing wartime service in RHINELAND, ARDENNES-ALSACE, and CENTRAL EUROPE. Wrapped completely around the head of the mace is the inscription "484TH ARMY BAND" in raised letters. At base is the inscription "FORWARD" which is the state of Wisconsin's motto and denotes the location of the Band. On top is the four leaf clover of the 88th Regional Support Command's shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI).
